Zombie List In Plant VS Zombie

(Regular) Zombie: 10 normal shots

He ambles forward until your plants take him out. He is not very tough.





Flag Zombie: 10 normal shots

This is a regular zombie with a flag in hand.





Conehead Zombie: 28 normal shots
The traffic cone on his head protects him from initial shots. He takes almost three times as long to kill as a regular zombieSnow Peas are effective at slowing him down while taking him out.



Pole Vaulting Zombie: 17 normal shots

This guy will sprint forward and cover a large distance quickly. He jumps over the first plant he comes across and turns into a regular zombieafterwards. A Tall-Nut, however, will stop him in his tracks.



Buckethead Zombie: 65 normal shots (10 without bucket)

He is about twice as tough as a Conehead Zombie, so he can take a long time to kill. You can get rid of the bucket on his head with a Magnet-Shroom, but remember to use Coffee Beans if it’s during the day.


Newspaper Zombie: 18 normal shots (8 for newspaper, 10 for zombie)

He uses his newspaper as a shield at first then gets mad and charges forward once it’s destroyed. He’s no tougher than a regular zombiewithout his newspaper.



Screen Door Zombie: 65 normal shots (55 for screen door, 10 for zombie)

This zombie has an extremely tough shield that can be removed with aMagnet-Shroom or destroyed with a Fume-Shroom or Gloom-Shroom. Launchers such as Cabbage-Pults are also effective.


Football Zombie: 80 normal shots (70 for helmet, 10 for zombie)

This is one of the most dangerous zombies out there. He’s even harder to kill than a Buckethead Zombie, and he’s a runner. Use plants that slow him down or remove his helmet with a Magnet-Shroom.



Dancing Zombie: 17 normal shots

This zombie will summon four Backup Dancer Zombies from the ground at regular intervals. If left alone, they can swarm you quickly. Use a Hyno-Shroom on this one. If he or she eats it, all of the other dancers will fight for you as well, essentially giving you your own zombie army.

Backup Dancer Zombie: 10 normal shots

Appears when Dancing Zombie appears.





Ducky Tube Zombie: depends on the zombie in the ducky tube

He is just like a regular zombie except he can enter the pool. They also come with cones and buckets on their heads sometimes.




Snorkel Zombie: 10 normal shots

He can be a very irritating zombie. He swims underwater and avoids your shots until he encounters a plant, at which point he emerges from the water. Tangle Weeds and Squashes are most effective on him.



Zomboni Zombie: 75 normal shots

The Zomboni will roll over all your plants, crushing them and paving the ground behind it with ice. Luckily, it’s slow, so if you’re inflicting a lot of damage, it will go down before it does any real harm. The Spikeweedworks as an instant kill on this, and the Jalapeno will destroy the Zomboniand the ice path it leaves behind.

Zombie Bobsled Team: Needs ice to appear

It’s important to get rid of the ice from the Zamboni so these zombies don’t appear. They come in fast and carry a four-zombie team once enough ice is down. Again, the Jalapeno is most effective.



Dolphin Rider Zombie: 17 normal shots

This is an extremely fast zombie. He swims through the water and leaps over the first plant in his path. Tangle Weeds and Tall-Nuts will stop him dead in his tracks.



Jack-in-the-Box Zombie:

This guy knows how to throw a wrench in things by blowing up plants within a given area. You can kill him before he reaches your plants or use a Magnet-Shroom to take away his explosive box.



Balloon Zombie:

He floats slowly over all of your plants and into your home. He can be stopped with either a lawnmower, a Cactus or a Blover. The Blover is preferred.



Digger Zombie: 15 normal shots

He won’t break into your house and eat your brains, but he will tunnel underneath your lawn and start eating your plants from the back and move forward. You can stop him with Split Peas, or a Magnet will take away his digging equipment.


Pogo Zombie: 17 normal shots

This guy will leap over all of your plants except for the Tall-Nut. They’re best stopped with the Magnet-Shroom.




Yeti Zombie: 75 normal shots

These appear very rarely.





Bungee Zombie: 23 normal shots

He will drop a target down from the sky then steal one of your plants. Most of the time, it’s easy to just ignore him and replant what he steals, but if he agitates you, use the Umbrella Leaf to ward him off.



Ladder Zombie: 42 normal shots

He will place a ladder against your Tall-Nuts and allow other zombies to just walk over them. You can take away the ladder with a Magnet-Shroomor blow him up with a Cherry Bomb or Jalapeno.



Catapult Zombie: 34 normal shots

This guy lobs basketballs in an attempt to destroy the plants in the back of your garden. Umbrella Leaves will deflect their attacks until you can kill them, and Spikeweeds will work as an instant kill if he rolls over the spikes.


Gargantuar Zombie: 150 normal shots or 2 instant kills

He may be slow moving, but he is extremely tough. He’ll instantly kill any of your plants with the telephone pole in his hand. You also need at least twoCherry Bombs or Jalapenos to get rid of him.



Imp Zombie: 6 normal shots

Once the Gargantuar’s health is knocked down to half, he tosses this Imp Zombie off his back and into the middle of your plants. Try using theCherry Bomb first so he throws the Imp then use the Jalapeno to finish them both off.


Dr. Zomboss: 20,572 normal shots
    This is the final boss of the game. He’ll drop all kinds of zombies on you then start shooting both fire bombs and ice bombs. There isn’t much of a strategy you can employ to defeat him since all of the plants you’re given are randomly generated.

    It’s wise to save your Ice-Shrooms and Jalapenos for when you really need them, because they nullify his fire bombs and ice bombs. He is effected by the Ice-Shrooms and Jalapenos as well, so if you time your attacks correctly, you can inflict major damage.
